Folklore without Boundaries Ostrava is the oldest and only international folklore festival in Ostrava. Every year it welcomes 5 foreign ensembles and dozens of Czech ones. One separate programme is also dedicated to children’s ensembles.

25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
The festival was founded in 1998 and since then it has not only gained a lot of experience, but also experienced several generational changes. We do it with love and in our free time – we want to have fun together at the festival.
168+ PERFORMING ENSEMBLES
Over the years, the festival has hosted over 168 performing ensembles or dulcimer bands. When selecting ensembles, we emphasize diversity and also the representation of a variety of traditions and dances.
5 FESTIVAL DAYS
During the festival week we will visit 5 city districts and 4 institutions within the Together without Boundaries programme. You will also experience with us an international workshop with other performing ensembles.
